Apple TV+’s next prestige limited series just added another powerhouse to its already stacked cast. Leslie Odom Jr., best known for his Tony-winning role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton, has signed on for a recurring role in “Imperfect Women”.
Headlined by Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Kerry Washington (Django Unchained) and based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, the series follows three lifelong friends whose bond is fractured after a shocking crime.
As reported by Deadline, Odom Jr. will play a character named Donovan, joining a high-profile cast that also includes Kate Mara (The Martian), Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), and Corey Stoll (The Many Saints of Newark).
His addition to Imperfect Women comes just ahead of a big summer. This weekend, he’ll reunite with the original Hamilton cast for a live Tony Awards performance, and later this year, he returns to the role of Burr on Broadway from September 9 through November 23.
Annie Weisman (Physical) is writing and executive producing the adaptation alongside Hall, and Lesli Linka Glatter (The West Wing) is directing the pilot.
There is no release date yet for Imperfect Women, but given the cast and creative team, I’m already looking forward to it.
Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking and Silo.
