Apple is gearing up to release its annual back-to-school promotion in the U.S. (and probably Canada) next week, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Here’s what to expect this time around.

If you’ve been holding off on buying a new Mac or iPad for school, the wait is almost over.

Per Gurman’s Power On newsletter, this year’s campaign is expected to kick off on June 17, continuing a pattern Apple has stuck to over the past few years.

While in January, Apple offered free AirPods or Apple Pencil in its back-to-school campaign in Australia, Brazil, South Korea, and New Zealand, it doesn’t usually make big changes to this U.S. promo, which offers gift cards with the purchase of eligible devices on top of its standard educational discounts.

Still, this is a solid opportunity to stack savings if you’re a student, parent, or educator. Last year, Apple offered up to a $150 gift card with Macs and up to $100 with iPads, so we can likely expect something in that ballpark again.

The back-to-school deal is typically available through Apple’s Education Store, both online and in retail locations, and tends to run through the end of September. On rare occasions, Apple has extended the deals a few days into October.
